2016 Jay Flight 34 RSBS on the way!

The wife and I ordered our new camper this past Friday. For the longest time we were planning on moving up to a 32BHDS but in the past few weeks of reading all over about how you should look at buying your next camper for what your needs are going to be in 5 years not now we went with the 34RSBS. We have one teenager who is moving out and the youngest is almost 15 so we chose this floor plan with the hide-a-bed for when the boys do visit.

For options -
Shadow decor
Customer Value Package
Thermal Package
Hide-A-Bed
Roof Ladder

The order will be submitted on Monday (we were at the dealership right at closing time on Friday) and it should be built near the middle to end of April.

Type-A, I don't mean to rain on your parade but from what I've read on this forum your delivery date may be a little optimistic. I ordered a Jay Feather the end of Dec. and my estimated delivery date is the end of March.

Others have said they had to wait 4 months for delivery. My understanding the demand is very high on factory orders so who really knows.

A factory rep is suppose to call me next week and let me know where I am in the food change.

I'm hoping for 10-12 weeks. We'll see. Wireman

Before I raised my budget, the 34RSBS was the Jay Flight I was going to order.

I really like that floor plan. I think you will too.

Congratulations!

Just for reference, here is the quote I got below.

Hope this helps.

I was told the build was mid-to-late April and delivery in May. I've got my fingers crossed that this will remain accurate. This will be the 4th Jayco that we bought from this dealership.

Type-A, I'm also hoping for a 8-10 week delivery as I was told by the salesman. I just caught a little line on my contract with a EST. delivery of 25 March.

That would be 12 weeks, not the 8-10 I was quoted. Maybe a CYA moment.

My delivery is to the west coast so it's surely will be at least a week longer than yours.

Good luck and enjoy your new TT. Wireman

Thanks Wireman.

Yeah, I'm about 5 hours from the plant.

Congrats on your new order. We ordered ours mid-Oct (RV show) and after 19 weeks we're going to be delivering hopefully this week. Apparently there was an influx of orders which Jayco did not anticipate. This is our 2nd custom build, the first was closer to 11 weeks. Good luck.

We have a 2015 34RSBS and love it. Lots of room with a great layout. We ordered ours in January and took possession the end of April. This time last year we were playing the same waiting game. Enjoy!

Next weekend we are going up north to spend a couple of days at our land and I'm sure the wife and I will be looking at each other going "I can't wait for the new camper." LOL

We ordered our new White Hawk on Wednesday and we were given roughly the same date, online build 3rd week of April and delivery the following week, I am hopeful we get it before mid May.

I even questioned the salesman and the sales manager on how often delivery's run late, they said things happen sometimes, but usually Jayco is pretty solid with their dates...

Fingers are crossed

Since we (the wife and I) have the time we talked some more and decided to add the 2nd A/C unit. Confirmed with the dealership that it can be added since we are still pretty far away from the build date.

We too ordered a 34RSBS! Ours is due to come off the plant floor April 14. Don't know what that translates too as far as delivery. Can't wait.

I think/hope we are out another 4-5 weeks before delivery! We have been up to our current camper the past 2 weekends and every time I'm there, my mind is thinking about the new one. LOL

UPDATE - I talked to the dealer today, because I had one more last minute add...I wanted to add the patio door but the "bad news" is I can't. Why? Because our camper is being built NOW and will be finished tomorrow. Oh well that's OK. It wasn't a "must have" but would of been a nice add on.

We are looking at taking delivery on the new one the week of April 25th, so next weekend I will be pulling the "old" one home from our land and getting her emptied out.

My RSBS rolled off the factory floor yesterday 4/14/2016 and should be at Camping Worlk OKC on Monday. I won't get to pick it up until Friday though.

I've got a VIN today! The dealer called me with this info and said now they are just waiting for the delivery driver to ship the camper to his dealership.
