2016 Jay Flight awning fabric defect? (Dometic 9100)

So the wife and I are sitting under the awning of our brand new 38FDDS (it's only the 3rd day we've used it, and she looks up and says.."it looks like there's a hole in the awning".. Sure enough there are 2 weak spots in the fabric that aren't actually holes, but you can see daylight through them. IT looks like a defect in the fabric. The awning has never been left unattended the 3 times that I've opened it. As mentioned, it's not really tears or rips as nothing pass through the spots (except water I found out). They appear to be along the line of a factory crease in the fabric.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

I sen pics to my dealer whom is checking with Jayco on a resolution.

I guess it's not really a hole. It's like a crack in the fabric.. something you might see in 10 year old dry rot vinyl. Are you pursuing warrantee coverage for it? I totally missed it during my PDI. I'm hoping Jayco does the right thing and replaces it.

Yes it's more of a small crack. I'm going to see what they say about it. It shouldn't be like that after only a couple of uses.

UPDATE: Jayco has authorized a fabric replacement. My dealer has ordered the new fabric.
