Hi to you and welcome to the forum.

We have a very similar floorplan in a 2015 Jay Flight and we are very happy with it.

Since this is your first RV, do a lot of reading in this forum. There are lots of things to learn regarding towing, hitches, sway, tires, electrical and water systems. In my opinion, the more you learn about RVing, the more enjoyable it will be. If you have questions, just ask because ignorance is not bliss.

We bought ours new this past October. We were only able to spend one 3 day weekend in it before we winterized it. We absolutely loved it! No real issues on our first outing. It did get cold one night so we turned on the furnace. It worked well. The only thing we noticed was that when the bedroom was comfortable, the living area was cool. If the living area was comfortable, the bedroom was quite warm. We love the floor plan. It is great for the two of us.

I was towing our WH with a 2016 F150 XLT, 4x4, 3.5L ecoboost, max tow with 3.55 gears. Did a good job. the drawback were the P rated tires that allowed side to side action and we were at our max axle load and max payload. I just traded it in on a 2017 F250 Lariat 4x4, 6.2l gas with 3.73 gears. I will never be close to either max payload or max axle weight. Gives me a cushion I am comfortable with.

I think you will love the WH. We do! Congratulations.

2016 27 DSRL and tow with 2013 F 150 Eco Boost max tow package with Equalizer WDH with 4 point sway bars. A good WDH is the key to not exceeding tongue capacity and not getting blown around. For a couples coach you cannot beat this floor plan. We absoultely love ours.

Welcome to the Forum and the White Hawk world.

Same combination

We have the same combo, only ours is 2015 GMC and 2015 WH. Should be no problem. As others will advise, after you get your setup and you've gone camping a few times, take it to a scale and get it weighed. There is advice on this site on how to properly get it weighed. The big thing isn't so much how much weight the truck can pull, rather your limits are really based on your tongue weight. I assume you also have a good weight distribution hitch.

Congratulations we have a 2015 model, towing with my '91 Ford Bronco. We have around 6K miles and still no problems or complaints on the trailer. The only failure we've had was the TV remote control and Jayco authorized a new TV and controller. Improvements so far, cut-off switch for battery isolation, digital thermostat, Curt 2" receiver hitch for my Yakima bike rack, Levelmate which saves a ton of time leveling the trailer and adding USB/receptacle in the small table between the rear chairs to charge our cell phones.

Same here: The Equal-i-zer brand Weight Distribution Hitch with 4-Point Sway Control™

There are a number of different brands of hitches, some with built-in sway control and some without sway control. I'm sure you'll be hearing from others before too long.

I have had the Equalizer hitch and liked it a lot, used it on two different campers over 10 years. When I bought our 29QBS I went with the Blue Ox Sway Pro. This hitch is every bit as good as the Equalizer. It is much more quite than the Equalizer and very easy to set up.

I know nothing about hitches or travel trailers (we just got our 27BHS a few weeks ago), but I did pull it home from the dealer (warranty repair) on Saturday. It was very windy (35mph+ gusts). I was quite worried about the interstate portion of our travels, but happy to report I didn't feel the wind anymore than I felt it with no trailer. So a definite thumbs up on the 4 point Equalizer from me.

Yep you can't go wrong with either the Blue Ox Sway Pro or the Equalizer.

Truck Towing Cap

We have the Blue Ox also and love it. We haul a 27RLS with our 2016 F150 8 Cyl engine and we live in the Appalachian mountains at 3300 ft. We have no problems and our trailer weight is about 9800 maxed. We are planning on trading our F150 in for a F250 just because we have a concern about the longevity of the transmission pulling that close to our max.
