2018 26BH - Brake/Bearing Question

Good morning all....

First post here.

I just recently purchased a used 2018 26BH travel trailer and am looking forward to taking it on it's maiden voyage (at least to us) next weekend.

Couple quick questions....

a) Are all 4 tires equipped with electric brakes? (my last popup was a single axle setup). My brake controller is functioning and the brakes were adjusted and worked great during my initial trek back home from purchasing.

b) It has Lippert axles.....can anyone provide me the part number or specifics or wheel bearing replacements? I'd like to purchase a spare.

Thank you very much!

~Jason

Do you happen to know the weight rating of the axles? If they are 3500 pounds I can give you the Timken part numbers for the inner / outer and seals. I replaced mine before I even left on my first trip...

Where do you order your Timken parts from?

Crawl under your trailer with a cell phone and snap a picture of the tag on the axle, this will give you the brand and weight rating so you can lookup the bearings. Once you have that number you can cross reference over to Timken bearing set which you can buy on Amazon, best prices I found out there

X2 on what Sundancer said. I did the same with my Dexter axles. Many of those trailer bearings in the same weight range are the same size so you can use a Dexter, Lippert, Timken, etc.

Thank you. Attached is a picture that shows the specs on the axle. If someone can get a Timken part #, that would be most appreciated!

Go on Amazon and search Timken Set 17 for the inner bearing and race, L68111. Set 4 is the outer L44610 bearing and race.

Thanks Sundancer! How in the world did you extract that info from the image? Cross reference chart of some kind? I found them on Amazon and will order a set (just in case)

Any idea if all 4 wheels on my RV are equipped with electric brakes or is it just one on each side? Probably a dumb question but somewhat of a newb!

All you need is the 3500#, Lippert and Dexter axles both use the same bearings, and I have the same axle and had the info near by. I switched mine out when it was new, found its cheaper to buy the sets than separate. You will have electric brakes on all four wheels, you may have to back them off to remove the drum as they sometimes are tight. If you want to watch a good video on bearing R/R watch this Dexter Axle video, very similar to the Lipperts you have.

You will also need new rear seals weather you clean/repack what you have or when you replace them, 122087 lippert. I found the cheapest place to buy them is a local rv dealer vs ordering online
