2018 jayco eagle 330rsts

We always start our camping season on Easter weekend yearly. This year it was the coldest by far of the start of camping. We have used the 2018 330RSTS for 6 weeks of camping in 2017 but it just continues to empress us.

Day time high temp upper 30ies but night time lows 14 that is cold. the fireplace was on and the furnace set at 70. We used only 1 propane 30 lbs tank and it's not totally empty but very close. This unit is build for cold temps. With the insulation that is in this new unit. 20 MPH winds and zero drafts in side.

We had the 2011 model before and it had drafts. We would have used at least twice the amount of propane to hold 70.

Hi we just took delivery of our new 330rsts 2018 Monday. It is cold and snowy here in Michigan. I was working in it yesterday and furnace started acting up would start and stop like not getting propane went to see if we had propane and tank was froze. So shut if off and went in house have not tried it again have you encountered anything like that? Calling dealer to see if anything I can do. Waiting to hear from someone.

It would have to get lower than about -40 F for propane to freeze. It is possible that there may have been some moisture either in the lines or the regulator that could have frozen up but not the propane.

It also may be something as simple as air in the propane lines and depending on how long you ran the furnace, you may not have gotten it all out. Have you tried lighting the burners on the stove to help bleed any air out of the lines?

Short of that, a hair dryer may help warm things up by blowing hot air on the regulator and the lines running along the frame to the furnace.

That sounds weird to me. I've lived in my previous travel trailers in -25 and never had the propane freeze up.

Did you try changing the tank selector valve to the full tank? Is the tank valve fully open? Can you see any pinched or twisted lines?

Maybe the thermostat is wonky? I believe if you unscrew the thermostat and unhook the wires on it and touch the wires together the furnace should start up. If it does and keeps blowing hot air past 70 then you know it's a wonky thermostat.
