2018 Jayco Eagle TT Rear Camera Prewire

Rear Camera Housing and Backup Light on our Jayco Eagle

Apologies if this has already been discussed. Did a search, but couldn't find anything specific to the 2018 Eagles travel trailers.

Anyone know what's involved in installing a rear backup camera using the 2018 Jayco Eagle's rear camera prewire option? The link above shows the backup lights and rear camera housing on our Jayco Eagle already in-place.

I've never thought to check. Is this backup light supposed to operate when you put the truck in reverse? Or, is it another "prewire" option?

Thanks!

If it’s the same as ours was on the JayFeather it’s 4 screws, a plug in connection and done. Took me 5 minutes. I put in the observation camera- but install is the same for either. Mine comes on with the running lights.

Thanks for the reply. It looks to me like the Jayco Eagle backup camera housing is designed for a specific make and model backup camera. What brand of backup camera did you use? Is it wireless?

Found this youtube video which shows someone installing a "Furrion" backup camera on their RV. His trailer (and the Furrion backup camera he purchased) had the same backup camera housing as our Jayco Eagle. Interesting. Will have to do some research on this particular unit.
