Summer Travel
Leaving Florida in August - traveling through Georgia, Tennessee and Illinois on our way to 50th class reunion in Wisconsin. Then over to Michigan for two weeks to see friends and family. After Labor Day, heading west to Utah for several weeks. Trip home will be via Santa Fe, Carlsbad, San Antonio, Lake Charles, New Orleans and panhandle of Florida. Latter part of trip will depend on weather (hurricane season)!

We already visited the Finger Lakes (Keuka Lake SP) for 5 nights. In August, we're heading to Hoeft SP in northern Michigan for a week.
Our main trip is in the fall...a bunch of stops but west Texas is the farthest stop at Davis Mountains SP. In between, stops in Illinois, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Currently in Alaska
Hello all we have been in Alaska for the last 2 weeks. Took the ferry from Vancouver Island to Prince Rupert BC. Drove up the Cassiar great road you need to drive it once in your lifetime. Been to Homer currently in Fairbanks. Have no
intinerary or time limit. Just hanging out and playing tourist. Roads have been
good, weather is starting to get better. So enjoy your summer where ever you
are going. Bob

Heading to Creede Colorado end of August...staying at Mountain View RV Resort. Plan to take the Jeep and do the Alpine Loop.
Will visit Lake City, Gunnison, Pagosa Springs and Durango while stationed in Creede. Beautiful part of the country and cool mountain air...can't wait!

If you have time make a run out to Chena Hot Springs Resort - about 60 miles east of Fairbanks. We were there in early April of this year. It's an interesting place - make sure to check out the Ice Museum. They've got a campground there as well as cabins and yurts.

We have been to Texas state parks every month (sometimes twice) around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area since we picked up our Jayco in December. Out first 'real' trip out of state is in late July, hopefully in time to escape the already 100+ weather in north Texas.
Heading to Amarillo first leg, then Pagosa Springs, CO and up to meet a brother-in-law and his Four Winds near Buena Vista, CO for a few days before returning via Santa Fe and Palo Duro Canyon. Should be fun as we are going to pull our new trailer carrying my Yamaha FJR1300 so we can get around after setting up camp.

Just got back from a 3 week tour of Oregon. Going to Donner Lake near Lake Tahoe in two weeks and then Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons in September. Looking for a place to go in early November that doesn't have any snow and is doable in 2 weeks for so.

Come on down to Texas! We rarely have much of a winter and if we do, it is typically in January.

Hows the fire danger?
Durango ,Telluride, Ouray and all those woods, LOL I understand there are millions of acres and only 50 or 60k on fire or burned which is bad in itself but not all the woods are burning. Has anyone been there? And put eyes on the situation.

I’ve lived in Durango and surrounding area and even during the last Missionary Ridge fire. Still have family there. What would you like to know?
