2018 Whitehawk 29BH reviews
Hello,
Glad I found this site. We are 95% set on purchasing a new whitehawk 29bh. It fits perfectly for our family of 4 and we love the floor plan. Tow capacity is no issue as I have a 8.1 2500 Suburban. I know there are other campers that have the same floorplan, so if you recommend any others please share.
Wanted to get your feedback on the whitehawk models and reliability. We plan to keep this for a LONG time.
I'm just doing last checks before purchasing. Also, if you have any advice on what I can realistically get this out the door, please share. MSRP is $38900, and I received an out the door price of $33,500 which included a W/D hitch. I still thought that was high, but I haven't countered yet. First quote I've been given.
Thank yoU!!!!!

We have a 2017 White Hawk 28 DSBH and we love it! Have had no real issues with it and is higher quality than our previous Forest River. $33k for your $38,900 trailer is definately too high. Our WH was about $40k and we got it for $26k. We purchased through RV One. I would suggest getting your trailer quoted through RV One and then take that quote to your dealer to meet or beat it. In the end you should get about 30-35% off actual MSRP.

Thanks for your feedback.
Was that $26k the out the door price? They quoted me at $28900 and made a deal about it being $10k off, but then with the other fees, taxes, and w/d hitch, the out the door was $33,500.
I agree, I think I should be getting out the door of atleast less than $30k.
Thanks again.

We have a 2016 23 MRB White hawk and it is a quality built travel trailer. The MSRP was $31.800 and we paid $20.900 out the door. We are having a great time. Good luck and get that RV one quote.

Something to think about is what type of camping you'll be doing? Full hookup or state campground with only electric or nothing at all? We have 70 gallons of freshwater and we run out on 3 day weekend trip even though we don't shower in the camper. Our camper MSRP was around 34K and we got it for 18.5K out the door.
Good luck.

The major issue I would have is that 29BH has external kitchen and (I assume) the bunks beds are more coffin-like comparing to 28DSBH. This was the main reason why I did not get 25BHS.
Our camping is practically 100% no hookups. We can go 5-7 days with our tanks (I believe 40 gallons and 2x20 gallons grey) and kids showering in the trailer - grey tanks are the limitation. Fresh water I can always add with my 5 gallons jug.

Yes, Bunks are smaller than lastyear. 29BH is a new floorplan. I love it! Bedroom feels more separated, Not looking sideways at TV, and outside kitchen. I also think lav is a bit bigger.
28DSBH is double size bunk house.
29 BH is just normal bunk house.

The floor plan is very similar to the 2018 Jay Flight 28BHS. We were torn between the two layouts as well. But ultimately went with the 28BHS because of the tv being right across (instead of in the corner, although we liked the fireplace) from the couch, had a bit larger shower, ladder to the bunks, and a wee bit more counter space

Our '16 White Hawk 28DSBH has been pretty good. None are flawless. This one has been a lot better in the number of things I've had to fool with compared to the last 2 TTs we had. I plan on this being the last TT we will own, so I put in a lot of research. My grand kids love it... that's what matters most.

Thank you all for the info. Yes, we are contemplating the jay flight 28 bhs as well now. It's between the white hawk 29bh and jay flight 28bhs. Both floor plans are great. The jay flight is less expensive, and I'm not exactly sure why other than the white hawk is a little fancier on the inside. I'm torn between fiberglass and the aluminum now too after doing more research. But it seems to be a toss up and long term reliability for both.
We are going to go check both again one more time. Best offer I've received so far is $29.5 out the door and highest is my local dealership of $33.5, but I didn't counter yet. These are just initial offers, so we will see.
Thanks again! Would love to hear the jayflight and white hawk thoughts.

Whitehawk should be a bit lighter. I think Jayflight has bigger fresh water and maybe grey tanks.

I just picked up a WH 28RL. We compared this exact floor plan in the jayflight line, and while cheaper, it was evident why. Material used on the furniture was inferior, appliances lacked the stainless steel, steel rims instead of aluminum etc. The rear seats needed to be turned sideways to bring the slide in where in the WH this wasn’t required. I could go on but the WH seemed worth the extra.

Hi everyone, we picked up a 2018whitehawk 29bh today. Very excited to start camping again. Been nearly 10 years and no kids since we last owned a camper. Our girls are now 8 and 5 and great ages to start more adventures. Thanks all
