2018 Whitehawks

I ordered a 2017 WhiteHawk a month ago. Still no confirmation on a build date. I am wondering if I will end up with a 2018? Anyone aware of when Jayco will change over to the 18? Anyone aware of what changes I might expect?

Thanks.

I just ordered mine... I was told it will be a 29RE which will replace the 29REK.

Actually significant changes, but same look and feel. Different colors, inside and out, and revised floor plans. Many options are the same but frameless windows are now an option.

Todd, I just talked to a factory rep about my trailer. Looks like it will be built the end of this month and will be a 2017. He told me my model layout is the same. Did indicate that there is a price increase. Looks like part of that might be related to having to pay extra for the frameless Windows.

Good luck with your trailer.

There are several 2018 models listed online, one says arriving May/June so it looks like the model change over is coming soon.

Frameless windows are no longer standard? That seems like a step backwards...

Surprised me too. Didn't make sense. Was contacted by my salesman today.

2018 Whitehawks

They often add/remove features from packages too. In 2016 the Jayflight elite package included a ladder, kitchen skylight, and 5 way remote for awning, lights and slides. In 2017 they removed this features from the package and offered them ala cart.

I thought the white hawk was frameless windows only? The fact that you now have a choice is a step forward imo.

I spoke to the factory about my Whitehawk today. Ordered march 1st and they will build it April 28. It will also be a 2027, not an 18. I guess 2 months not too bad.

Thats awesome! I started out looking at the 29REKS, but it was changed to the 29RE White Hawk... I was apprehensive about the purchase... ie buying something I never saw or has been built yet... I guess its a big leap of faith.

I hope it all works out!

In may of last year, I went in to order a 2016 24RBS, by the time I went through all the trailers on the lot to figure out what options I wanted, I was told it would be a 2017 and things would be different than most everything I looked at and I had to pick from fabrics/color from a small sample. That was on May 9th....my camper arrived on October 17th and I signed paperwork on October 27th. I'm picking it up tomorrow and the next model years are already coming out

Why such a long time between signing papers and pick up? That is a long time!

I didn't want it sitting in my driveway all winter. I had my old unit stored at a heated indoor facility. A few weeks before my new unit arrived I made the decision to give up the storage space (and save $1400) because I wasn't even sure I would have the new trailer before winter was over as they kept adding 4 more weeks to the expected delivery date whenever I asked. When it finally arrived, the dealer offered to store it on their lot (albeit outside) during the winter and not start my warranty until I picked it up in the spring. Because my wife's retail work schedule doesn't permit vacation from November 1st till mid January there was no chance we were going to take it out. So I opted to let it sit till the weather was a little more stable.
