2019 23BHM Murphy Bed Mattress Options

So we just finished our first trip in our new to us 23BHM. This is the 2019 model that has the murphy bed mattress that basically has a hinge in it so the bottom 2/3 of it can fold up while the top of it stays flat. The stitching that holds the two sets of mattresses together is coming apart leaving a growing gap between the sections. Obviously this is not comfortable. I've been looking online for after market replacement mattress but no one seems to have this 'hinged' mattress as an option. Anyone have any solutions? We already put a memory foam topper which is great, except for where this gap is.

If it felt ok before it fell apart try a local mattress maker who could sew it back together.
Or better yet, many mattresses come with some kind of warranty. Check with Jayco or your dealer if they have one in a current RV that might have the warranty paper still attached.

Last, local mattress make might be able to make one to fit from scratch.

we had a 16mrb hummingbird and went with a tuft and needle full size queen. it was a little pain to close it up but well worth it due to the comfort level. Our murphy bed matress was replaced once under warranty due to the same issue you had , the seams came undone . The second one lasted a while but never was really comfortable . Newer foam type mattresses fold easy so dont be afraid to try.

Did you encounter any issues with the T&N not “bending” at the split the Jayco one did?
