2019 264BH How to Bypass Furnace & Power Thermostat

The power for the thermostat in the 264BH runs through the furnace. I need to remove my furnace for repair and would like to maintain power to the thermostat so that I can use the AC while the furnace is being repaired. I believe I can do this by connecting the trailer wires that run to the furnace as follows:

Yellow White Wire to Red White Wire

White Wire to White Wire

Anyone else ever have to do this?

Thanks
Rick

Update: I just tried it and it works. So, for anyone who needs to remove their furnace temporarily and still wants AC, you can bypass the furnace and power your thermostat using this method.

Cool and good to know. I had tripped the reset in my furnace trying to install a Honeywell thermostat. It was a hot summer day and I lost power to the thermostat. I din't know about the Atwood furnace reset so I pulled 12V POS from a nearby light fixture to get power to the thermostat. The DW wasn't happy about the wire but it got the A/C running.
