This is the reason why the moryde X factor is my first large modification. Bought one for each hanger it’s insane how much these spring hangers flex.

I think part of the problem is over loaded weights combined with rough roads and maybe a heavy foot.

Picture the spring under Max load, it flattens out. Sure most of that lateral movement is soaked up by the shackle end of the spring. But if that is at max take up, the fixed end of the leaf spring is going to have some forces applied laterally also.

Also the reaction thru the 2 axles is naturally going from front to back. The front springs fixed hanger has the axles trailing off it, the rear springs last point of contact to the trailer is also fixed. Getting the load of both axles slammed into it.

Yes my point is exaggerated, and yes I know there a hanger in the middle, but the center mount generally has movement they a short beam or a morryde type set up.
