2020 245RLS Screen Door Question

Is there supposed to be a way to attach the screen door to the door, or do you have to open each door separately every time? There are two screw holes on our main door below the latch/lock and I wonder if there was something there before that 1) held the screen door latch open and 2) kept the doors together.

Thanks!

Yep there should be a latch that connects the doors when closed so they open together.

Similar to this... comes in both left and right
