I remember getting new foam in the pop-up mattress as I was tired of feeling the plywood everytime I laid on it. The shop I went to put the foam on the ground for me and I tried out the various densities.
Not cheap but worth every penny!

I just ordered some replacement cushion for our 212 from Amazon. We finally were tired of bottoming out on the dinette seats. We'll see how it works on the seat bottoms and then work on the couch.

I didn't order the thin piece on top or really look at it much. I'll decide on that when the new foam gets here. It's already been shipped and should be here on Oct. 7th.

For the sofa, I install a couple of pieces of think cardboard between the seat cushions and the springs. That gave me just the right amount of firmness for us. On the backs of the sofa, I just added some extra foam to the top cushions. The covers are zippered on the bottom, so I just cut some extra 1" foam to size & fit them around the pillow forms inside. Might have to do a couple of tries to get the right amount of foam for the firmness you desire.
The bed frame issue is pretty much across the board in these trailers. I have seen many different ways to strengthen it, just depends on your skillset. One thing to remember is that the more strength/bracing you add to the bed, the more tongue weight you are adding to the trailer.

Got ours 1 year ago on 9/25. We've been up to Maine and down to south Florida and several places in between. Spent several weeks in the Port St. Lucie last winter.
We really like our 212qb, it's a good fit for DW and I. A bit tight when we have SIL along!
Great suggestions on the improvements! We've used a topper on our bed but will make a change before we head South for the winter.
We love ours! Works great for us two.

Got the same rig, little newer
Hey Chabunga.
Yea I just got Jayco's 2022 SLX 212QB.. Noticed the bed issues right away and did some upgrades on it already.. Also bought a new Hybrid Mattress that is SUPER PLUSH.. Installed some corner braces to hold the mattress in place since the mattress is at 14" in thickness.. All in all, I do really like the rig so far, just will be installing and adding some things here soon to make it a little bit more comfortable..

Got the foam cushion, my first impression doing a finger squeeze test was I wasted my money. But after doing one seat cushion and comparing it to the factory I think it's going to be a big improvement. I don't have the camper at the house right now, just the seat cushions. We'll give it a test when we head out next week on a trip. I will recommend putting something behind the backrest like someone else here mentioned. I had some 3" round pipe insulation and putting it behind the back cushion added the needed angle and some lumbar support.

This is what I did on my back cushion. Works well…

our biggest gripe was slidy dinette cusions. Several strips of velcro tape solved that one. The cushions stay put now.

Thought I would try something original for bathroom storage. Used an old Pepsi crate we had at the house.

That looks cool.. If I could find one I would need to make a door, Everything not contained by a sink tub or door is a projectile on our dirt roads.
