2021 267BHS pricing

Looking at getting our first travel trailer, found one in stock not far away from home here in Michigan. They are asking $30,000 plus taxes and title, plus a $995 prep fee, basically $34500 out the door with a WD hitch included. First time buyer so I don’t know if these are take it or leave it prices or is this too much to pay for this unit. Seems like out of state they are quite a bit cheaper..... Anyone bought one of these models recently? Thanks in advance!

I just bought a 2021 SLX 287BHS. (in Wisconsin). There wasn't much room to negotiate due to the overwhelming popularity of RV-ing recently, but I still got it for about $5,000 less than the posted msrp. Also, that prep fee seems high. What do you get for that? Ask them to tell you specifics and don't let them explain it by saying "we charge that to everybody". I had to pay $300 as a "documentation fee" that I couldn't get them to drop, but they ultimately took another $1000 off, so I called it a win. Rest assured, the dealer is still making their money. Heck another dealer was telling us $3000 prep fee!! The way it was explained to me, you get the battery, propane, them going thru the entire thing checking for leaks (water/gas) fixing any issues they find and detailing the unit. I told them about other dealers being lower and they wanted a written quote, maybe I should just throw them a number and let them counter...

I’d suggest getting an online quote from RVDirect / RVOne. They will email you a quote. They have multiple dealer pickup locations. I bought my last camper from them and it was a great experience. I called and emailed many places and no one could match their price. My sister in law bought her camper from them as well. Some on here have too.

If nothing else it gives you something to compare other dealers to.

Definitely a sellers market out there right now, same with trucks. Most get 30% off MSRP but not in this current market. Best of luck and let us know how it turns out.

That is what they are supposed to do as part of the purchase....AVOID THEM...

That price sounds really really high!!!!! We bought ours from local dealer, not big box store. Got it for $7K less than MSRP and paid NO PDI and NO DOC fee. They even threw in some sink covers and a few goodies at no charge. Shop around....regardless of RV popularity, these things depreciate quickly.

x2 on rvone. I bought my current Greyhawk through them. Fairly easy to work with and was 10k+ cheaper than anywhere else. Other local dealers wouldn't even try.

Only bad part is that one is not near me so I picked it up and left. Anything I found wrong is for me to fix as I won't take it to a dealer unless its a bad warranty thing, which hasn't happened.

Don't know your location, but I'm in Central SC. Bought a 212qb in late September. Local Jayco dealer aka CW didn't offer much off of list price. Due diligence research reflected deals are common at 75% of retail. Ended up buying at Keystone RV dealership in PA at 30% off of retail. Top shelf dealership, arrived at dealer 2pm , was hooked up, out the door by 5pm.

I see you live in Kimballtucky. So do I! Lol! Do yourself a HUGE favor, if this thing is at General RV, RUN!!! That place is more crooked than a dogs hind leg. I bought my trailer from Gilettes RV in East Lansing. Go there. It's an hour and 20min drive, but worth it. Service is top shelf and the sale you cant go wrong. I've lost count but they've had at least 13 sales off me and everyone has been very happy with everything.

I don’t know where in Michigan your at but traveled 150 miles to buy from Tradewinds RV in Clio. They had good prices and great service

Before covid, expect 25% off MSRP. A good deal may have been 30%, great deal 35%, awesome 40%.

My MSRP was 122k. RVone, no haggling was 76k.

just got a 212qb from our dealer who usually does not meet big box RV store prices. But we got 28 percent off list price.

I bought the 2020 version last year at the end of May. I paid $20,000 plus taxes and including the WD hitch from General RV. Ballpark total was around $23,000. That was before all the COVID issues with the industry started. Now it's supply and demand since there are no entry level trailers available. Right now I guess you take what you can get.

Too much. For what’s it worth, I bought a new 2017 267bhs in 2018 for $17,800 out the door including WDH. Msrp at the time was $25,500.

It is a great family floor plan that is half ton towable. Hope it works out for you.

Someone who had good sales experience with RVONE ... wow. I'll never buy from RVONE again.. no follow up after sales and service is awful. Never call you back and timeliness on service always seem to "drop" ..

My wife and I bought a new 287BHS last spring for about 32,000 CDN dollars, so 30,000 US for a smaller unit sounds high.

Definitely shop around. I am also from Michigan and have purchased from Keystone RV in PA and from Indiana RV Connection just over the border and both were great on pricing and pickup. I have also purchased from General RV and never will again - not even for a small accessory.

Yea, I did talk to General RV but the $3000 dealer prep fees kindof turned me off to them....I found one at Tradewinds in Clio for a little over 23,000 plus tax, just have to wait for it to come in. This covid really did a number on the travel trailer business too. Pretty much anything in stock anywhere would not be discounted under msrp, so I’m going to take a chance and wait to save $7000.
