205 vs 215 Maxxis 2007 jay feather tires

I am replacing all 4 tires on the TT and was thinking about going from a 205 to a 215 75 r14 Maxxis st8008. Would this be feasible/advantageous?

Some older Jay Feather TT had issues with the suspension allowing the tires to contact the top of the wheel wells. I don't know if this could happen with yours. If the tire diameter of the 215s is larger than the tires on your TT now...???

Compare the height and width of the 2 tires on the Maxxis website.

Allow clearance to spare!!

Looks like the 215 has a one inch larger diameter.

Let me ask this, what problem are you trying to solve by going to the larger diameter tire?

Guessing the wheel width will handle it and no PSI or valve stem concerns? Same load range model tire, just width and height?

The only real concern is whether there is enough room to fit the larger tire. You need to ask the tire shop if they can put them on so you can check clearance. Make sure you leave room for the axle movement. You need room between the 2 tires as well as room between the tire and the fender skirting. If you hit a bump in the road at 60 mph and the tire comes into contact with the fender skirting, it will rip it right off. If there isn't enough room, have them remove the 215s and put the 205s on instead.
