Looking for a generator for my 224bh, not sure what size I need. Any idea?

What are your power requirements? Usually a small 2000watt inverter generator is fine unless you want to run the A/C. Then you would need something a bit bigger

I'd go with a 2200 Honda inverter and a micro-air hard start kit.
Should be enough if you don't run micro and a/c at the same time.

This would save you on weight by going bigger, or buying two 2200 hondas.

What PaulB12 said!

I have a micro-Air and a 2000 watt Yamaha inverter Generator runs my AC just fine. Been doing so for 5 years.

That being said, I also have a 2nd 2000 watt Yamaha I run in parallel sometimes when I need to also run my microwave and other electrical appliances while the AC is running.

A lot depends on what your end goal is. Do you have a 30 or 50 amp service entrance. What do you want to do with it?

Just top off the battery and nothing else. Honda 1000 is good, light weight, quiet and small. Very expensive for what you get.

Charge the batteries, maybe 1 ac or a microwave. A 2000+ watts might work, might need a soft start for the AC.

3500 watts can run almost like your connected to a 30 amp shore power post.

What to be able to run like your connect to a 50 amp shore power post, you probably need north of 7000 watts.

I would think about what your goal is with you new generator. Hight the wattage, the heavier and louder they are. Do everyone a favor and buy an inverter style.
