23MB mystery switch

We’ve got a 2016 23MB Elite. This switch has never done anything.

Jayco response was

I have talked with production and they are stating it could power any one of the following items.

The awning and step light
The interior lights
The recessed kitchen mantle light
It sounds like there was no set designation on which switch did what, so the only advice I can give is to determine what the switches that are working control, and the one that is left over is what the 3rd switch should be running. I hope that helps somewhat.

Anyone with the same TT have any input on what it does?

I have a 2016 23RB Elite and that switch all by itself in my panel is for the awning LED strip. The two together run the overhead lights in the trailer. One is for kitchen lights and the other is for the rest of the trailer.

That’s what they told me it was when we did our walkthrough. The techs indicated that if I turned it on with the remote, I’d have to turn it off with it. If I used the switch, i needed to use the switch. I don’t recall it ever working though.

I had it back twice along with some other issues to fix under warranty, and they never addressed it. Wish I would have pushed them on it, now my warranty is up.

Thanks

The part about the remote is true. It’s possible if it doesn’t work that the wire may have fallen off the back of the switch. They are super simple rocker switches with wires just hooked to the back with spade connectors. Mine were actually backwards and I took the panel loose and switched the wires around so they were in an order I liked.

On my 23 rv that is the switch for the porch light which is a strip of led lights which might be kind of hidden by the awning when it's rolled up.

Well now I feel dumb for not checking it earlier. It wasn’t connected in back.

Thanks for responding, going to make this my own with some mods!

Don’t feel dumb, that’s what this forum is for! Now you’ll know for the next person who asks and you can tell them
