24RBS Question about freshwater leak

Well today I was getting the camper ready for the weekend and attempting to dewinterize. I put the hose in the freshwater tank and noticed the gauge was not showing it was filling up.

I went outside and looked under the camper and noticed a stream of water come out of the center of the camper. It was about sraight in line with the water cutoff valves.

I got my drill and drilled a 1/4 inch hole through the bottom cover to allow it to drain faster.

It doesn't appear to be doing it with the city water hooked up. Just when I attempting to fill the tank.

I'm hoping it's just a line that's popped off. This thing is almost new.

Any ideas? I'm tempted to just talked off the underbelly and see if I can fix it. Just don't want to mess up the warranty.

Any thoughts???

Ate dinner and went back out. The water stopped draining from the underbelly. I hooked up a hose to city water and nary a leak.

That makes me think I may have a disconnected hose on the freshwater tank.

Depending on how comfortable you are on your back.

Get a #2 Robertson bit (Square) and remove enough self tapping screws to pry the bottom cover down and look up in there with a flashlight. If it's just a hose loose, you may be able to save yourself some trouble.

While there also look for a missing ground on the tank sensor, that's what usually causes them to not read at all.

X2

If you do get a "look-see" with a flashlight, let us know how the two separate fresh water tanks are connected, and the location of the inlet water connection (on the tank) in relation to where it passes through the floor under the 24RBS sofa. Also, how robust are the tank supports.

Some pics would be interesting.

Thanks, look forward to the pics.

A little of topic.........,

The following pic was taken from the rear of my 24RBS (slide motor access) and a fresh water tank can be seen toward the front of the TT. The water line (hose) running to the tank along the frame originates at the pump. From the slide motor access panel it doesn't provide any clear view of any fresh water tank(s) connections.

Hope your issue is a simple loose connection that is reachable.

Since I was still under warranty I opted to take it to the dealer for repair.

Cause of leak was a hose that came loose between the two freshwater tanks.

The service guy said the tanks are secured from moving front to back but they move slightly side to side sometimes.

There was a short hose linking the two together and when one of the tanks moved to the side it popped off.

He replaced it with a longer line.

I didn't get to see it with the underpinning removed.

Glad it's fixed.

Good to hear the problem was resolved. I would take a look under your TT and confirm that the underbelly material was re-installed securely.
