24RBS Wheel upgrade

Put some new shoes on the 2018 24rbs...wasn't very fond of the white steel wheels. (That the dealer wouldn't swap for aluminum ones due to"warranty" issues with Jayco

Looks much better then the white steel rims...., plus in most cases aluminum rims have a higher PSI rating.

Did the dealer explain what the "warranty issues" were that prevented a switch out from the steel wheels to the aluminum wheels?

I mean, my 2017 23RB came with aluminum wheels standard. I think the dealer was pulling your leg, or blowing smoke up your skirt.

I think because it had steel wheels from the factory and the build sheet shows it they couldn't (didn't want to) swap them out beacuse jayco would not warranty them. I wanted the nicer wheels off of another jayco unit. I kept the same good year tires that came on the unit. I just swapped wheels.

That's one nice base enhancement that Jayco did for the 2018 model year on the Jay Flights......., 15" rims and "D" rated American made tires.

I believe that member "wtt" 2016 24RBS Jay Flight came with 14" rims and "C" rated tires.

It's about time Jayco puts a decent tire on these trailers.
Mine came with 15" LR C. I put Carlisle HD LR D on last spring.

IMO a great tire...., I put a set of Carlisle HD "E's" on my retired Eagle and they performed extremely well.

Jay Flights from at least 2015 and forward came with 15" wheels. However, until mid 2017, they were LRC tires.

During the 2017 model year, Jayco switched to the then brand new Goodyear Endurance tire, and IIRC, LRD is the lowest rated tire GY makes for the Endurance.

The White Hawks were all on 14" wheels though, at least through 2017, and probably the narrow bodied SLX Jay Flights may have been on 14" also.
