264 BH roof issue: peeled like a banana

Hello all from Lakeview Arkansas! Yesterday the roof on our rented 264 BH peeled off near the front of the trailer. At the direction of the dealer, we duct taped it down, having concerns along the way if the tape would hold once we hit the road. Yep, we were right.

Any suggestions for a temp. Hold till we get back home this weekend and return the TT? I've thought of a tarp but not sure what might be sticky enough to hold everything in place and keep water out..

Thank you for all the help!

Once we're done, I'll post some thoughts on our TT after 5 solid weeks in one.

The area that is exposed is like a strip maybe 8-10' long and 8" at the most.

Might try Gorilla Tape but I'd check with the dealer first as I understand the gorilla don't want to let go once he's got a grip.
I can see your concern and I would want to do the right thing too but on the bright side - it's a rental.
Enjoy your trip (hope things smooth out)! We just got back from a week at Lake Catherine.

I would check with the dealer first, but I would recommend eternabond tape.

I'm going to call the dealer again in the am. We have at most two more days on the road- just hate to keep retaping it after each before we finally get home

how permanent is the eternabond tape? Would they still be able to remove it at some point to properly fix the roof once we return it?

We do have a WalMart nearby...

thanks again for everyones help

One of my favorite quotes:

"If you can't fix it with duct tape, you're not using enough duct tape."

love the quote as well but in this case at least, duct tape wasnt strong enough to stick to the rubber roof. It stuck to the metal siding okay but the roof itself, not so much.

Just spoke with a tech at the dealer and I'm going to either try to find some "slide tape" which apparently will stick to rubber or find a mobile rv repair or a dealer to get it patched temporarily. With it being 102F already at 10:30 am, I have zero desire to climb on the roof right now.. lol

Can you post some pics? That would be interesting to see. I can't remember anyone posting that issue before on JOF and pics might be of help to others
