267BHS issues and questions

I am a new guy to this for and a new Jayco owner. Got a sweet deal on a 2012 267BHS, but I have found some issues with it already (have had it 3 days). First it had a major plumbing leak which I eaisly repaired myself, but still a bit frustrating on a new unit. two other questions though:

What does the inline fuse holder on the red wire at the battery power up? there is no fuse in it and everything seems to work fine and the battery is being charged by the converter.

Second: there are no wires hooked to the brake pigtails on the right side of the trailer. the pigtails are taped off and wrapped up outside the backing plate. There are wires on left side. I have not yet done any trouble shooting. Are there wires that run thru the axle, or is this a big oops on Jayco?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for these trailers? The 3 inches of manuals and paperwork that came with the trailer doesn't really tell me much.

Not sure about the brake pigtails, but I believe the fuse on the red wire could be for the electric tongue jack. My 28 bhs had this, it was a 30 amp fuse.
