26bh few questions

Just got my 26bh home and was testing everything out. Can't seem to get fan in bathroom to come on? Anything I'm missing just the switch on wall for it ? And how long does it take the fridge to cool down just had it plugged in to 15 amp 110 house power for a few hr and didn't seem cold . Over all very mint and clean! Oh ya was also wondering if the battery chargers when the trailer is plugged in ?

Bathroom fan: check for a switch up by the fan itself. Both wall switch and fan switch should be on. If not check fuses....

RV refrigerators take a while to cool down to temperature when on electricity. Usually they are more efficient running on propane. Make sure the doors latch shut..

There should be another switch on the fan itself. Find it and leave it on and then the wall switch should control the on/off.

Leave it on overnight for a better test.

These RV refrigerators are 'absorption' type unlike the home 'compressor' type. It takes a while for the RV units to start cooling. Also, it is best to fill the RV refrigerator with food (etc.) that is already cooled down.

My 26BH doesn't have a wall switch for the fan. It's controlled by the knob on the fan housing.

Wait 24 hours with the fridge. If the freezer isn't down to 10 degrees by then, somethings wrong.

And yeah, when it's plugged in the charger should be working. If you have a meter, check the voltage at the battery when plugged in. DC voltage should be around 14 volts, more or less. With the trailer unplugged, battery should read around 12.5 vdc.

Enjoy your new toy. I really like mine.

Lots of discussion, pro and con on that. That is one reason it is designed for use. Many elect to not use it in gas stations and some roads do not allow them in tunnels.

Do some reading and make up your own mind.

I use mine but sometimes it blows out and if the fridge is cold and not opened it will keep frozen for 4-5 hours just fine.

I start my fridge on propane the evening before I am ready to go camping. By mid morning the next day, it is down to temperature.

As for running the fridge on propane while driving - there are a lot opinions on that. The owner's manual says no, but they have to worry about liability. I drive with mine on and shut it off briefly when refueling, for safety's sake. My dealer said it is common practice to do so. I just ask myself - why else would the fridge be manufactured with the "Auto" mode switch - if it is running on propane, it automatically switches over to electric when I plug into shore power, and when I disconnect the shore power, it automatically switches back to propane. To me, shutting it off seems to negate that feature.

My opinion. And there will probably be others who feel their reasons for not running the fridge while driving are just as valid. In the end, it is a personal decision you will have to make.

BTW - Congrats on the new TT! Looks GREAT!

Did you look inside the rear bumper? That's where my sewer hose was stored. Have you checked the fridge temp yet?
