That being said, the staff member at the dealer told me that they are not his personal preference, and between him and I, he would not even bother with them, if I had no issues than so be it, but he felt I would need to upgrade to the (and I dont remember the name here)style that have "hydraulic pistons" on them....
I have not heard of one with hydraulic pistons for sway control. Perhaps he could give you a name of the brand the next time you see him. Could just be something I have not seen yet.

Husky is the brand with hydraulic action.
BTW, I've now done a bit of travelling with my Equalizer WDH, some with gusty 30 mph crosswinds, and it performed like a champ.

I have the Husky Centerline Hitch and it does help with sway but it did not stop the sway. I did find a problem only two weeks ago while installing and adjusting my hitch to my new TT. I found one of the Hydralic pistons missing a part that basically nullified that piston. But after contacting Husky they replaced my hitch without hassle. Leaving tomorrow on vacation , first time towing new camper, now with new hitch. I'll be better prepared to tell you more when I get back.

For those of you using the Equilizer and the 26BH, which one do you have, the 600/6,000 or the 1,000/10,000? Aslo does this come with the ball or is that a seperate purchase?

The 600/6,000 was too light for my 22FB, so I have the 1000/10,000. Your 26BH would be needing the 1000/10,000 also.

I have a 2011 26bh and I have the 1,000/10,000 equalizer hitch. I figured since the tongue weight empty was pushing the limits of the 600/6,000, I might as well buy the next size up since once the trailer is loaded the tongue weight will be over 600.

When I bought my 26BH, the dealer threw in the hitch as part of the package. They set me up with the Reese 1200/12,000 hitch bar and spring bars.

Jay, he may be talking about a sway bar. I have the equilizer and a sway bar. I am extremely new to all this, so I bought every safety precaution I could think of!! When I back up I have to take the sway bar of first.
Hope this helps.

Round bar and Friction Sway control, towed in 40MPH gusts and did very well.
