26RLS slide side windows

I have a 2011 26 RLS and I don't like that the side windows of the slide out don't open so I went to my local Jayco dealer and they wanted 550.00 to 600.00 with shipping for two windows that open and I would install them so I ask them if they could get them shipped in a trailer to save me on shipping they said no,they said that Jayco doesn't ship anything in units.I went to a friend that sells Sunnybrooks and told her what I wanted and she ordered me my windows and had them shipped in a unit she was getting in a few weeks,so I got my windows and only paid 240.00 and no shipping...I went to install my windows and the lock rings that hold the windows in place are not right for the new widows so now I have to order new lock rings, well after ordering two sets of the wrong lock rings I call Kinro the company that makes the window and the man I spoke with gave me the right part numbers and I had my friend order them they came in yesterday and it took me about 1 hour to remove and replace the windows, now I have more air flow in my trailer. If anyone wants to do this and save some money by doing it them selfs it it easy. The company Kinro that make the windows doesn't sell to the public only dealers so you need to deal with a dealer.

sounds like you got a heck of a deal... it's nice to have good friends, especially when they own a camper store! LOL sounds like you have my luck... 3 trips to the hardware store to get anything fixed... that's gonna be nice though with the additional air flow... and good job on the DIY!

My wife asked me why they put sliders on the slideout insted of matching the other windows and I came up with the ansawer when I was putting the slide in.
If you were to have a jealousy window open when you put the slide in,,,,,,,well I can only imagine the damage.
Looks like you came up with a way to get more air, just dont forget to close them at the proper time

Unlike a jalousy window you can leave it open and bring the slide in.the frame is flush with window open or closed.
