27BHS Bunk Entrance Size

Does anyone know the size of the bunk entrance on the Jay Flight 27BHS? We are picking ours up on Friday and going camping straight from there. I have a 1 year old and am trying to purchase a rail to use to make the bottom bunk into a crib. I would really like to have this before we pick it up so we can be ready to go. I have searched online and am coming up with bupkis any help would be GREATLY appreciated

I can tell you the bunk is 48 x 76, with 24" of vertical space. If nobody answers you before Wednesday, I'll be able to get a measurement then. I would guess 36" +/-.

First time out we used a Pack-N-Play setup on top of the table/bunk. That might work for your first weekend while you come up with a longer term solution.

Most of the bunk gates are hand modified from other solutions that are out there for RV solutions. I have never seen a "Baby Gate" for an RV. In the end we built ours based on ideas found on the interweb.

Don't forget it curves, if you want to factor that into whatever contraption you build. I would guess that 29.5" measurement was a straight line.
