28bhs in our sights...

Hoping to get some feedback on this camper. Anybody willing to tell me what they think of theirs?

Welcome to the forum. We bought one 4 1/2 years ago, been pretty much trouble free and a solid unit. We have 3 boys so its a bit tight at times but we manage.

I wish I bought the 28bhs instead of the 26bh.

28bhs

We have owned a 2013 28BHS for about 6 months, and thus far I have had to fix several minor things. That said, the trailer has been used about 8 times and we have really enjoyed it. The front bead room is very nice, and my Wife loves the L shape kitchen.

One thing to keep in mind, the tongue weight with two batteries, and full propane tanks is a bit on the heavy side ~850lbs without the 96 gallons of water on board. Given the weight of the unit, be sure to have enough TV before purchasing. I did things the wrong way and ended up with a new TT and a new TV.

All-in-all I have very happy with the floor plan, and I got a screaming deal on a new 13' 17K before TLD with every option available.

I bought a 28BHS last summer after upgrading from a popup. Like others, I have had no major trouble with it. Just a few minor things that go with all TT. I like the kitchen right by the door, as it seems that food going in and out is common with our family. I use it off the grid quite a bit also and the large freshwater capacity is a huge advantage. I have an F150, which handles it OK but I'm glad its not bigger. Very happy so far!

My DW and I purchased a 2012 unit last year and have it at our seasonal site. Used it up to the end of season just about every weekend. Only problems we had was Jayco drove a screw through the wiring on one of our kitchen lights, and a small water leak on the TV antenna due to a poor caulking job at the factory. We're very happy with ours, comfortable, warm. I did relocate the water pump out from the kitchen cabinet to beside the furnace and few other minor mods.
