28bhs Run wires through floor from batteries to under bed

Hey guys, I am going to be installing an inverter under my bed in the pass through storage. I have to run my 12v 4 gauge cables from the batteries outside through the floor and up into the inverter as well as a 12 gauge wire outside to a plug. I have been searching the internet and here but have not seen any how to's. Has anyone here done this before? If you have any pointers please help me out before I start randomly drilling holes in my floor lol.

One of the first things to be concerned with, does your trailer have an enclosed underbelly?

The other issue, you will be drilling through insulation if it has the enclosed underbelly.

Also, you will want to have a good seal around all the wires to keep rodents and such out.

If you have an enclosed underbelly get some Gorrilla tape or Etearnabond tape. Cut a flap type hole leaving the remaining edge forward and tape it up when done. Also, make sure to avoid LP, water, wires and structural parts. I did something similar by drill a 1/8 inch hole down then finding from below. Slow and easy, stop if you hit anything. Caulked from below and above to avoid visitors.

What year is your tt? Enclosed underbelly?.

1st thing to do is contact Jayco with your vin number. Ask for the floor skematic. This will tell you where key structure is located.

You might be able to use an existing wiring access hole. Look around, for the 7 pin harness, and the existing wire routing. You may have a disconnect, in the cargo hold, and follow those wires

Good luck.
