I don't see why It wouldn't.

You would need a brake controller and a wiring harness specific to your vehicle.

Yes it should have electric brakes. As stated you will need a brake controller unless your truck is equipped with an integrated brake controller, which are becoming more popular on late model trucks.

I`m sure most RV dealers would install one if needed including Camping World. Truth is its not very difficult if you buy a controller like the Tekonsha P2 or P3 and get the wiring harness kit that is specific to your vehicle for a few bucks more. Does your truck have the tow package/hitch/7 pin connector?

I purchased and had my controller installed by my local u-haul. I think total for the controller and labor was about $185.00

So, since I have the tow package with the 7pin connector that was factory installed, what else do I need to do? People say I need a controller. Are the breaks controlled through the 7pin wiring?

Yes, the controller sends a regulated voltage out the 7 pin connector to the trailer brakes. Here is an controller install video on a 2010 Tundra, I suspect the 2013 harness is in the same location. You might have to add a fuse to the fuse box...a lot of Chevys have the harness pre-wired but leave it to the owner to install the fuses.

Get the tekonsha p2. Etrailer usually has it at a very nice price. They also have a ton on installation videos, likely they will have a p2 installation in a tundra video.
