30% Solar tax credits

Are they available for 2016 when installing solar panels on a Travel Trailer?

Should be, my friend writes his off as a second home. So asked him what qualifies? He said if its a self contained, has a bathroom and kitchen and sleeping quarters then it qualifies.

Dunno, but he tells me this is what his CPA tells and does for him. My guess then Solar panels would qualify...

This is great. Any equipment related to solar (batteries, cables, controllers, etc. can be looked at as a 30% discount up to $2,000 max credits, wow!
