314 BDS - need background info

Hi Everyone - so there's a new Eagle Superlite 314 BDS with my name on it coming this spring. After reading through a lot of these posts, I'm getting a little nervous about potential quality issues post-warranty.

Can any of you with the same/similar model chime in on the type of issues you've had that I should watch for? I've never owned a camper this big (my 19H is my first one and I only have 2 seasons with it).

Thanks for any insight you might have.

Hello,
I have the 32BHDS, which is the same floorplan only in the Jayflight line. We've absolutely loved the layout and functionality of the unit. As far as warrenty issues, the performance has been outstanding. We've only had one minor issue that was repaired by Jayco, and that was the outside kitchen door leaking water after a heavy rain. They said the early models had a flaw that they redesigned, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. As far as getting used to the size, after you get your hitch dialed in, it tows well, and after some practice, you shouldn't have any trouble backing into the proper sized spaces. Any questions you may have, feel free to ask.
Happy Camping

I have a 2009 Jayco 314 BDS that was riddled with problems in the beginning. Brake problems, walls not straight, inverter, propane tank a/c problems, ripped awning, cut shower stall .. just to name a few. And even though that first year drove me crazy! I am very happy to say that I had no issues in the 2010 season. Love the layout great times camping. One suggestion is to buy if you dont already have is a Tekonsa prodigy brake controller! amazing compared to my old reese.

We have a 2011 314 DBS and have had very little problems. I would recommend one to anyone. It pulls fine and is very easy to set up. It has a great layout and good storage space.

Oh, and I also heard that it may be cheaper to get the slide toppers from the factory.... I don't have them on mine, but I'm thinking it would be a good accessory to have. JMHO
