314bhok eagles

What’s up guys have not posted in a bit. We ended up selling our amazing 2013 Eagle 314BDS. Back in begging of 2021. We had a fire in our home. Lost everything including two pets. But my wife and son are safe. Anyway we missed camping so we are picking up our new 2023 Eagle 312BHOK this Friday the 24th. Hoping it’s a tank like our 13 was. Just wondering if anyone has had issues with this model or other new trailers. Hopefully I bought after all the build issues. But issues with everything new just hoping nothing major. Also what do you guys tow with. JAYCO calls them HT but I don’t see that being safe. I will be towing with my 2008 F250 diesel. She only has 30k on her. Anyway sorry long but we are excited all over again

Welcome back, and congratulations on the new Eagle! Sorry to hear about the fire and loss of your pets, but I'm glad you and your family are ok.

Happy camping, and good luck with your new trailer. She's a beauty! Your truck should tow her just fine with the WDH set up for it. You can look at the trailers actual weights on its yellow sticker, and the truck capacities on the doorjamb sticker. An F250 should be good.

I got a 2022 Eagle 312BHOK last year and I absolutely love it. Its a wonderful camper, and I'm sure the 2023 will be nice for you too.

One thing I did notice last year is the parasitic draws on the battery, even with the battery disconnect off. I still had dead batteries. So you may want to disconnect at the battery itself if you are leaving it sit for more than a few days without being plugged in.

I think you will be fine towing with your F250. I tow mine with a RAM 1500 and its worked quite well.

She’s home. A few things we don’t like. Not loving the new steps. More to follow. Love the camper

Donedroolin,

I tend to agree....., especially when under loaded conditions approaching, or at the 312BHOK's GVWR of 11,400lbs.

Your F250 diesel will be an ideal match for the 312BHOK..., and as you know a 3-pass CAT scale visit under your typical loaded TV/TT conditions will bring piece-of-mind for your future travels.
