I can't remember what model we looked at, but it had the center of the u shaped dinette as an ottoman. Our 32 does not have the feature (no big deal), but while the storage is awesome, just wish there was outside access to make it easier to get to. The tubs are an awesome feature under the "side" benches!!! And behind one of the tubs I have a small tub with an extra 50' water hose and 25'/ 30amp ext cord stored way out of the way. Only need them once in a while, so don't mind the limited access.
As for the curtain, I guess my wife's thinking was it gives the boys more of a feeling of privacy over the curtain. Not so much as a sound deadener. As I mentioned, it was not an easy decision!!!! The island almost won!!!
Some friends have a Crossroads Z1 that is comparable to our 32 BHDS. The bathroom door is inside the bunk room!!! They have an actual bunk room door also. We thought that was a weird set up....
