6 Volt Battery Recommendation

I am going to be switching out my 12 volt batteries for two 6 volts here in the future and would like any recommendations you may have. The few I am considering are in no particular order are:

Crown - CR220 (220 Ah)
Crown - CR235 (235 Ah)
Duracell - SLIGC125 (235 Ah)
Trojan T-105 (225 Ah)
Interstate GC-2 (210 Ah) _Costco

They will also be connected to a Renogy 200 watt panel system through a Rover 40 amp charge controller.

Trojan 105’s have never let me down.....can’t speak for the others. I guess a lot depends on what’s available in your area too.

I bought a pair of Duracell GC2, 205 Minute from Sam's Club. I think they were about $85 each. So far so good!

I got 4EA 6V DURACELL SLIGC110 215AH GC2 Golf 12 GC10, GC-110 Batteries from BATTERIES PLUS here locally. Great service, friendly folks, for $84.99 Each. 12-month warranty...

Google image

Beauty of getting them here is I don't have to belong to SAMS CLUB...

They also took 12V used battery cores for core fee...

I have four FullRiver 224-6 AGM's. They're in the front genny bay and I didn't want to bother with venting and so forth.

I bought 4 Duracell 6 volt golf car batteries at Sams Club. To be honest, I am not sure they are that much better than the 12 volt Harris that came with my Seneca. They seem to drop to 12.4 volts on my inverter readout pretty quick after short travel breaks of an hour or so. Not sure after that how quick they drain after that as we have only used them as we travel and have not had dry camped with them yet.

The question is what are your loads on the batteries? Type of fridge? Anything else on?

Norcold double door refrigerator with a DC draw of 2.7 amps/33 Watts per label. Other items on inverter (2 TVs, microwave, coffee maker etc ) are all on standby. After one hour 12.4-12.5 readout on inverter readout.

When I was looking for golf cart batteries 2 years I looked into Duracells from Sam’s Club. They were/are made by Deka and they have a pretty good reputation. I would have bought the Duracells but ended up going with a lithium pack instead...

Our Costco 6v pair is 3yrs old and still going strong. Interstate sells a "marine" box that holds a pair of them perfectly and is inexpensive.

I will be looking to replace my current 12v battery in the near future. Just wondering, most people are using multiple 6v batteries. Is there a reason to go with 2 6v as to 1 12v?
