A/C Keeps Cycling Off

Getting 2020 Jayco Hummingbird 17-RK ready for some camping and testing everything before trip. Using my Honda 3000 watt generator to power the rooftop A/C unit, everything turns on including fans, but when I turn on the AC ceiling unit control to high or low cool, the compressor only goes on for about a minute before turning off to just fan. The outside temperature was 65 degrees but the inside never went below 77 degrees. I hear my compressor revving up on demand, and I've powered a 13,000 BTU unit with it previously. Any suggestions before I contact service department?

Does it work normally when you plug into shore power?

Haven't plugged in to shore power (at home) because only 15 amp and would quickly overheat wire or blow fuse. The generator has 30 amp plug and service. Should I temporarily try the 12 ga cord and 15 amp circuit?

Haven't plugged into shore power before as this is first use of it.
