A little bit frustrated...

Just got my 2014 back from the dealer. I had a custom hitch installed by the dealer as to keep my warranty and have it done right. It's solid yes, but the receiver tube is noticeably angled downward for some reason, the hole for the hitch pin is too small to fit a standard pin, and the black paint is full of drips and runs. I paid over $500 for this too, by the way.

I also am very disappointed with the poor communication between departments at the dealer. This is surprising to me because they do have a good reputation overall; maybe I'm just unlucky. Aside from them initially shipping me the wrong trailer (the salesman did not go physically see the trailer after it arrived to verify it was correct) I am doubting whether a PDI was done at all since there were major things I found once I brought it home, like an electrical outlet not working because it wasn't even hooked up, poorly sealing cargo door, broken shower curtain clip, and also a dip in the floor that will this winter require cutting open the belly to fix. This has cost me time and money to drag the trailer back and forth.

I even took it in for a few things to get fixed and presented the service department with a hand written list clearly explaining what was needing done, and when they told me to come pick it up because it was done, 2 of the things that were on the list were not even looked at, even though I was told they were. This means another trip in sometime.

I have been patient and given them plenty of chances. I am pissed now and will be heading in on Tuesday to have a chat with the manager about the unacceptable shortcomings within their business.

Please post any comments or suggestions you may have.

Thanks,

Carl

Bummer. You have my sympathy. These things are supposed to be a pleasure. The manufacturer would also be hearing from me, both about their shoddy workmanship and lack of QC and their dealer. Jayco can't be given a pass just because we own their product. Good luck.
