AC Ceiling Vents

I like the directional vents that my Jayco came with. They are much better than the older pull down style.

I do have an issue where the air keeps making them close up by themselves. There just isn't enough friction to keep the louvers open. I came in yesterday to find my trailer at 90F inside, AC Iced up and several of the louvers closed. I take it the lack of air flow caused the icing up.

I'm sure I can come up with a makeshift fix but I shouldn't have to. Anyone else have this issue or do I have a bunch of bad vents?

Put a wooden clothes pin in the shutters and it will keep them open

My vent lovers open upward. If I have both airs on the one in the bunk room blows so hard it closes the vent.

If they are all easily removable, have Jayco mail you out a box of replacements. They should be under warranty.

Jayco said they don't mail parts to the end user and I "must" go thru a dealer. Dealer says I have to bring the trailer in. It's not worth hauling it back for a 200 mile round trip. Lots of folks reported this problem and it seems installing some small o-rings on the shafts provide enough friction to solve the problem.
