add electric option to water heater

So i did not realize until i did the walk around on my new 2016 287BHSW that my water heater is gas only. I looked at 20 different trailers and ALL of them had electric and gas water heaters. I assumed this had electric and gas, but it does not. Having said that, is there a way to add the electric option? The guy at camping world think you can just add the electric probe but i would think there would be more than that. I would assume that you would need a complete new water heater. What would i need to do for wires. Is there a 110 line pre plumed to the water heater? Would i just add a 110 plug next to it and add a water heater that has both along with a toggle switch?

Has anyone done this?

Thanks in advance.

Camco sells an electric add on option called "HYBRID HEAT' for gas only water heaters. You can find a video on u-tube of people who have installed them. They come with lighted on and off switch, element that screws into the drain plug, thermostat with adhesive to mount on tank and all the wiring with an eight ft cord and three prong plug for the receptical. You can purchase them on amazon for under 100 dollars.

You got it. Now you should be able to find the video on u-tube (CAMCO HYBRID HEAT) of people who can show you their set-up. They seem satisfied.

Good call. If nothing else, it'll be a backup for the propane. You can tap into the outlet that's by the ladder.

Edit: Or just run it out the hatch to the power pole...
