We have had AAA, KOA and Good Sam. We cancelled KOA because Good Sam offer the same discount even at KOA campgrounds. AAA doesn't offer roadside service even though they had other discounts, ex:some campgrounds, restaurants, free maps. After 3 cross country road trips we used the Good Sam card for discounts on gasoline at Flying J and campgrounds, even at the casino campgrounds. Our one year of roadside service is up so we wanted to make sure we are covered. For us the Good Sam Club was the best choice for us.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. We did not hear anything about 1 year free with Coach Net from Jayco but I will ask. We appreciate all the help!

My wife and I purchased a 31' Itasca Sunrise MH about 5 years ago; and signed up for the Good Sam roadside plan. On our second or third outing to College Station, TX we experienced motor issues when returning home. The MH would run fine for a while, then quit. After 30 minutes of this I called the 800 number for Good Sam. Explained the problem and told the operator where we were. While waiting for the tow vehicle, we found our MH would start and run again. Drove it until it died again; and called and 'splained issue to the operator. Bottom line: the tow truck never showed, and we were able to limp the MH to the Ford dealership in Buda, TX. Made it there just before it closed at 4 pm on a Sat. Tow truck from Good Sam never showed; thankfully our son was able to come collect us. Problem turned out to be the fuel pump.

This issue, and other experiences with the MH convinced us to sell it, and return to a bumper pull trailer. Hence our recent order of the Jayco White Hawk 27DSRL. Will pick it up in Indiana the first week of April.

Bottom line: Good Sam RA may be great, but our only experience with it was not that great. As always, YMMV!

I just joined Good Sam a few months ago. But I would like to say the constant e-mails and daily mail offers from them gets annoying.

BigG adjust your settings with GoodSam... I get none of their "junk" emails.. watch at the bottom of the page it always defaults to send me info.. just uncheck those boxes

I tow the TT alot without my hubby in tow. He says that "someone has to pay the bills!" Lol! I often worry about getting a flat tire on our TT. Will roadside service change it for me? What about on our TV? I don't always have my teenage boys with me and the 7 yr old still refuses to do it!

Yes, the Good Sam roadside will change tires on TT or TV for you, bring you gas, water, or whatever fluid (other than alcohol LOL) you need. They will also give you a jump start. Haven't had to use mine yet, but that's what their promotion says they will do, and what I'm paying for.

The GS roadside service doesn't require that you are towing your TT when you call for help.

Very true, RedHorse1. It covers all your family vehicles, regardless of what you are using or towing at the time.
