Even the old dryrotted orignal tires on the 1997 (I know...I'm just hoping to get through the summer on them) get aired to the max. I check them before every trip. Right now, I just use one of the portable air tanks I can fill at work and top them off as needed. If you dont have much need for air, that may be the way to go...
21 years on a tire that is only rated for 7... you been lucky so far..

We have only owned it for a month... Not sure I can talk the wife into new tires too. I was going to swap them from our 242, but those are two sizes smaller... Once it sells, maybe then I can get new tires, otherwise it may be next spring if they dont all fail before then.

Sounds like its time to start a tire "sink fund envelope" :-)

I also have a VIAR 12v kit like thomasmnile. I use the 400P-RV which comes with 60ft of quick connect hose, pressure gauge and even a little tool for airing up dually tires. It all fits in a bag about the size of a small backpack. I carry it in my trucks toolbox 24/7.

Air compressor ?

+1 for VIAR, they make excellent 12v compressors. I've burned up several of the cheap Campbell hausfeld etc compressors in the past, decided to spend a bit more and get something that will last this time.
