I think other than they cost more, I just like the look of cast rims. I have had both and can say they are easier to maintain, they look better to me and hopefully will look better to the next owner of my rig.

Maybe they changed it for 2015?

I'm sure they will put anything you want in it for a price.

The weight argument isn't a big issue as the wheels are unsprung weight so you aren't going to increase your cargo carrying capacity at all. By the same token, you aren't going to decrease the overall weight of the trailer by much either so your TV's gas mileage isn't going to change any detectable amount.

It boils down to what you prefer. I like the looks of aluminum wheels over the steel counterpart but I'm not going to spend $400+ just for some wheels that look nice.

If you like the looks of the Al wheels then go for it.

I will add that on my white steel wheels I have had to touch up the paint several times where they began to rust. Not hard, wire brush the rusty spot and paint, but a consideration.

The steel wheels on our old Terry camper rusted so bad I feel they were unsafe, so we traded in for our 32bhds with aluminum wheels.

On a trailer I would personally want steel wheels for the strength. Too many cracked rims around for my taste.

Aluminum looks cool and at the end of the day isn't that all that matters
