Aluminum or Steel Wheels??

Ok another one of those questions from a newbie.
Working on a new Jay Flight TT 26RLS.
Other than looks any advantage to aluminum vs steel wheels on the TT?

Aluminum wheels are lighter than the steel wheels.

Usually there's a package of extra options included with the aluminum wheels. Such as thermal pkg, elec. awning, elec. tongue jack, larger A/C unit. At least that's what my 22FB came with. As far as the wheels themselves, I guess it depends on what kind of terrain you plan on driving on to get to your campsite. Steel wheels may not bend as easily if your headed down rough roads, but then they may rust if coating is damaged....

The package that the aluminum wheels come with on the Jay Flight is the Elite package.

If you like to read, here is a past JOF thread (w/links) discussion on Aluminum and Steel rims, probably more info then one needs:

Its not listed that way for the 2015 Jay Flight. The Elite package does not list aluminum wheels as included in that package.

My experience has been that the aluminum wheels provide a better more planted ride than the "cheaper" steel wheels. I've hauled a few different units over the same stretchs of hwy and i can almost tell you from the driver seat which ones are steel and which are aluminum from the handling differences.

For weight savings and style (personal taste), I negotiated aluminum wheels into my purchase

It sure couldn't hurt the resale either.
