Aluminum wheel option weight question

I asked dealer if there is any weight savings from these other wise I wouldn't care, dealer didn't know? Anyone know if this is an advantageous option from that perspective beside looks or know the weight difference between stock rims & aluminum? looking at 14 inch wheels duel axles

For replacing stock steel car wheels measuring 14 inch or 15 inch in diameter with aluminum wheels of the same size, the weight savings will be 3 to 4 pounds per wheel. Replacing 16 inch steel wheels with aluminum should save 5 pounds per wheel. SUVs and pickup trucks with heavier 17 inch and 18 inch steel wheels can result in savings up to 10 lb. per wheel when replaced by aluminum.

Well I have the steel spoked wheels on my TT and I can tell you they will rust. I have had to sand off the rusted areas several times over the years and touch them up with paint. Nothing like bleeding rust on white painted wheels. As for weight I don`t know how much difference there is.

Your maximum weight saving will be 10.8 pounds total on 14" Aluminum Trailer wheels.
It wouldn't be a fuel saver compare to cost. They look nice the same with white painted wheels and both require maintenance to keep them looking nice. I have chrome wheels and they need attention too.

I think the aluminum wheels will dissipate heat better too
