Don’t know since I don’t live there. Not sure how much shipping varies for the dealers to take delivery.

RVDirect has a Orlando dealership if that helps.

Jayco pricing specifically states it excludes shipping to dealer and dealer prep. Dealers may adjust base price to include them, as it’s a real cost they incur. In my case, they adjusted base price but still discounted it more than anyone else would... they have to account for these real costs somehow. I’ve not found a dealer that will state the same MSRP as the Jayco website but I’m sure they exist somewhere, just expect to have shipping and prep paid for somehow, either in smaller discounts or higher MSRP. My $0.02.

Just doing the math, my dealers “base price” MSRP including the mandatory options only is $1775 above the Jayco listed msrp. On my deal sheet they list prep at $995 as a line item that’s not included in my total or subtotal. So I’m definitely paying prep and their delivery cost of $780 (1775-995 prep) it’s just worked into their inflated MSRP rather than being an actual line item cost in my deal. Does that make sense?

Would someone please share the arguments you have heard from sales people when presented with significantly lower offers, and your rebuttal to those arguments?

I had one that priced his trailer at on!y 10% off MSRP. Would not budge, my lowers offers were irrelevant, said they were selling like hot cakes at that price. A simple inventory search showed some units were a model year old and still on the lot. This was also 2009, the heart of the financial crisis and a terrible year for RV sales. It was total BS. I had no rebuttal. I bought somewhere else for 4 grand less with no painful negotiation.

I could go with RV Direct's price. And I still may. We both work and have two small children, so it would honestly be a pain. But we will do it to save that much money.
I'm curious if these guys will wait a few days and get closer to their price.
The RV shows are coming up. If we can't get something there, I guess we'll go with RVDirect.

We won’t service you if you don’t buy from us. You won’t get a better deal than this.

Me: fine I’ll buy eleseware at a lower price with someone willing to be realistic.

Ours actually expressed disbelief in our RV Direct quote, saying that no one could really afford that.
Either he knows it's a real deal and hopes we don't, or he's really lacking in knowledge of his business.
Not sure how to respond to that. Lol

My credit union called to see if the sales price was a typo.
They couldn't believe I got this trailer that cheap.

RV Direct WILL deal on their original quotes! I got a quote from RV Direct and took it to other local dealers to see if they would match it. The locals did match it so I sent it back to RV Direct and they counter offered! In the end I got RV Direct to go 35% below MSRP and we ended up buying from them.

2018 Jayco Eagle HT 306RKDS

We purchased our Jayco Eagle HT 306RKDS for 39% off MSRP. MSRP was based on the OEM build sheet which specifies the "base" MSRP, OEM options and freight charges to the selling dealer (the "real" MSRP in effect at the time of manufacture with no dealer add-ons). 39% off MSRP was calculated based on the final negotiated price (which included PDI, prep, battery, local DOC fees, etc.), BEFORE tax, tag, and license.

We had been looking nationwide for a 306RKDS with a specific set of options. We delayed calling the Camping World where we purchased this unit till the last minute because it was located so far away. Turns out our call was perfectly timed---CW's corporate office had just discounted this unit $5k about 30 minutes before we called. According to the Camping World sales manager our final price was $2k under dealer cost. It's my understanding CW dealers are not authorized to make discounts like this at the local level. I called several independent Jayco Eagle dealers who confirmed dealer cost on this unit. Their very best price was about $5k higher (with a $3k profit). I did not include freight costs in these dealer cost price comparisons in order to keep it an apples to apples comparison. Freight costs in our area are almost $2k higher than the CW where we purchased our 306RKDS. So, in effect we saved $7k+ vs. purchasing local!!

I haven’t checked recently but when a I was looking a couple years ago I could never get a quote from the Jaco website. Maybe because my location showed I had several Jayco dealers in a 2 hour radius ( all by same CO.)? Are they putting MSRP suggested prices on their home website now?
I wouldn’t mind doing a small upgrade but the DW says it’s not in the budget and we may be upside down with our trade-in?
BTW, I think the OP got a very good deal on her unit!

Every Jayco trailer listed on the website has a section for standard and optional equipment. The options all have MSRP pricing, should not matter where you live. Jayco will not send you a quote, you would have to pick which options you want and add them up, then deduct 30% off the MSRP to get what you should pay at the dealer.

Oops, my mistake, just got on the website and do indeed see MSRP, it was the “Request a Quote” that had me confused.
Sorry for mistake

Custom ordered from a local dealership

Options selected:
Customer Value (Mandatory)
Elite Package (Mandatory)
Thermal Package (Mandatory)
Saddle Color Package
Kitchen Skylight w/Shade
39" LED TV
Sani-con dump system
Exterior bumper mount grill
Aluminum Rims
Roof Ladder

MSRP $33,620 USD = $44,000 CAD quote from our dealer
Selling price before tax: $33,584 CAD = $26,783 USD

If I've done my math correct that's about 20% off MSRP.

We are also receiving a WDH at a great discount, $2,000 off the taxes/pdi, an additional $400 in credit to use towards accessories.

It's not as much as some others on here have saved off MSRP, but sadly we are pretty limited on RV dealers in town or even close to home and we didn't like any of the other brands (or service departments) within a decent range.

[QUOTE=seanb61;599123]So, I don't see much talk on here about deals that people have gotten on new Jayco Trailers, I thought I'd start this thread. Hopefully it's helpful and I don't see anything in the rules against it.

I'll start with the deal I'm signing today, which I think is an amazing deal.

Big family owned dealer in Michigan. Custom Ordered

Options selected:
Customer Value (Mandatory)
Elite Package (Mandatory)
Saddle Color Package
Thermal Package
15,000 BTU A/C
Kitchen Skylight w/Shade
Hide-A-Bed
39" LED TV
Electric Auto Leveling System (BAL 5.3 System is what Jayco is using)
Aluminum Rims
Roof Ladder

MSRP $38,120
Selling price before tax: $22,840 (includes $125 "doc fee" AND brand new Equalizer 12K hitch installed)

40% discount from the listed MSRP.
This deal involves no trade. I'm feeling really good about it.

They are tagging one currently on order, but not started production at Jayco factory to make the adjustments to my options, will be off the production line around March 10.

I got this deal but working 3 different dealers and I was willing to drive 4.5 hours to pick up as it can only be delivered at one of their Michigan dealers even though we have one local.

I got what I considered an acceptable deal at my local dealer.
25% off.
I could have done significantly better at a wholesaler, but it would have been at least two day's drive, and I felt like I needed the support of a local dealer, especially on the first trailer.
Overall, I'm happy with our purchase.
