Another question--

I'm looking at getting a bike rack for the back of my TT. I've seen some people that have a type of bag that covers the bikes. I am wondering if any of you have similar setups, what do you all have? I have three Trek bikes and with the grime on our Alaskan roads I'd like to keep them clean.

I'm not concerned with the grime, but I'm concerned about the weight on the bumper. My TT came with a hitch mount to but a bike rack into but i've heard the bikes and rack are too much weight for the bumper. I think I'm gonna take it to a welder to reinforce the rear bumper.

I agree, there are a number of threads on the subject and I would say that most folks try to avoid attaching a bike rack directly to the standard rear TT box bumper (if that's your thought) without some degree of reinforcement.

Run an advanced search on " bike rack bumper " and you will pull up a couple dozen threads.

I've seen tons of people up here that do it. I understand about the weight concerns, fortunately I don't think our bikes weigh more than 80# with the rack.
