Another roof question?

So installed the MaxAir II cover above the bathroom vent on my 26BH today, and as my luck would have it the factory seal was a bit thick to allow me to install evenly. So i cleaned and removed the sealant around the vent to allow for the installation. I then installed the brackets and cover, and resealed around them to ensure there were no leaks, and then let bake in the Texas sun for a few hours. When i came back this evening to check on the seal, i noticed that the rubber membrane around the brackets had bubbled a little. Like the brackets had pulled the rubber up a little. I checked my sealant and it is all good, but I was wondering if this is something I should be concerned about? It is only around the brackets where is added new sealant?

I did another search, and discovered the error of my ways. I thought the vent would need to be more flush with the roof, and discovered that was not necessary.

I have now removed the cover and resealed. I will re-install the cover once the new sealant has dried. I have to stop trying to make things more difficult than it should be.

Yep,
The covers have about a 1/2" gap between roof and vent. The flange on factory vent prevents any water intrusion.

You'll be good once you reinstall
Be sure to open/close vent before final tightening to make sure there is no interference front to back.
