Another Stuck Slide Question

I searched the forum but found no help, so I will ask my own question.
My cable driven slide is stuck in the extended position. When trying to retract, only one side starts to move then cuts off due to opposite side not moving. I have checked for obstruction's on rollers and tried pushing it in from outside while activating. I have some experience with this type of system from my last camper but on this one, I can't even see where the motor would be located. I read it is typically in top middle but there is no room behind fascia for it, nor on the bottom of slide. All cables are tight. No grinding noise. No fault on display. running on shore power. Both other slides work fine.

I have the same camper. Was told that the motor is behind the top facia board and is accessed by taking off the center trim on the facia. So far haven’t had any problems with the cable slide or the two rack and pinion slides. May want to look under the slide floor and check for anything restricting the roller on the end that is sticking. (If you haven’t already).

That is what I thought too but there is no room once it is extended. The back of the fascia is all the way against the wall. I just can't see how they placed it there if it is and don't want to rip it off if it's not there. I did check the rollers for debris.

I got curious and got to looking for the motor that runs the kitchen slide that is operated by cable. Found that there are two motors, one for each side, they are located at the top corner of each end behind the facia boards. There is also an electrical junction for each motor at each top corner that becomes visible when the slide stars in from being extended. May want to check for 12 V there on the end that is not working when button is pressed. You can see the bottom of the motor and cog gear through the hole in the metal S track that the upper cable runs through. There is a piece of trim that has a removable front that runs vertically on each side that extends out beyond the facia board. It is stapled on with small staples. Removing it allows access to the screws that hold the S track metal that also holds the inside seal. Looks like that is the only way to get to the motor and the manual override.

Appreciate you lookin Dwain53. I will try and look there all though it is difficult fully extended. Wish it was stuck retracted so I could get to it easier.

Yes it would definitely be easier if you could have it partially retracted. Especially if it is on the right end of the slide. Good Luck.

Well it wasn't the motor. The wires running under the belly got caught up when it was extending and pulled apart. Poor job of securing the wires from factory.

At least you found it. An easier fix than the motor. I am going to inspect mine to see how they did. Thanks fo the feed back.
