Just to add. I changed out the tires for LT tires and installed airbags on the F150 to better handle the load. You may want to also change out the rear shocks as they are not very good. I would also suggest a ProPride or Hensley arrow WDH for that size TT with the half ton trucks. They are worth the extra money spent on them.

Weight truck with full tank of gas two up front 2 suit cases back seat.
Now, I read someone in a Earley post say I could wear out breaks quick. TT has breaks, right so that got to help some not a lots but some???? My 21' bass boat has surge brakes and I don't know it's back there. I know the boat don't weight what that TT weights.

With the 28RLS you will want to be in the 13% to 15% range for adequate handling of this 33ft long TT, especially under less then ideal towing conditions.

My Eagle 278FBS floorplan is very similar to the Jayflight 28RLS, and I've found that with my loading habits a 15% loaded tongue weight handles better then at 13% with my 2500HD. I found this out with a full "rear" fresh water tank and reconfirming my tongue weight. My TT loaded weight is approx. 8,500lbs (9,000lb GVWR).

The F-150 brakes are designed to handle it's own loaded weight up to it's specified GVWR, the same applies to the 28RLS brakes. The TV brakes are not designed to compensate for TT brakes that are compromised or inoperable.
