another Warranty thread

Help. Have jay flight since March. Four trips and many problems. Now dealer wants me to pay him 150 and sign papers to have it fixed.

Anyone have any experience with the warranty?

I suspect there may be more to this, but, in general...

If it's under warranty, and the problems are covered, then I'd contact Jayco direct, in writing, and tell them that one of their dealers is trying to make you pay for a warranty claim.

Dittos. This is sounding sorta like an issue that Jayco may have already denied for warranty work, and dealer is resorting to plan B . . .? Pure speculation on my part.

I am working with Jayco as we speak regarding a structural/frame issue. I also purchased mine new late March. I used mine twice. I hired an independent certified inspector on Jaycos request. I would have preferred to have a jayco dealer rep. look at it but in retrospect having a third party was better.
So everyone is on the same page and agrees there is a problem stemming from the frame. The dealer has sent additional photos to Lippert upon their request.
I'm not sure if your issues are ones that can easily be handled at the dealer level.
I will say that both the dealer and Jayco denied my customer complaints in writing on my warranty work order. It wasn't until the inspection report was written and sent in that things got into motion.
If its a punch list of cosmetic and functionality items you may want to try another dealer. Originally that is what Jayco wanted me to do until they found out my cosmetic complaint was not just cosmetic.

Welcome to the forum.

I have had items fixed under warranty with no problems while my 2015 Jay Flight was under warranty.
Are you the original owner of the Jay Flight?
Does the dealer want $150 toward warranty repair(s) or some other work? I dropped off my unit and had warranty and maintenance work done. I did have to sign paperwork when I dropped off the unit, but never was required to pay anything upfront.

I have had several warranty items addressed by the dealer, and never had to pay a dime. Other than my gas and time delivering and picking up.

Need some more details on the $150 requested. Like what's it for?
