Anti freeze in water lines

I need some instruction on how to pump the rv antifreeze into my waterlines. I have a 2006 Jayco Jayflight Bunkhouse. Any and all help is appreciated.

Do you know if your water pump has the "filler" hose for winterizing? Locate your water pump (mine is under the kitchen sink) and see if there is a couple of bypass valves and then a segment of pex or vinyl hose in between the valves. If so, simply insert hose into the antifreeze turn your valve so the pump is pumping from the antifreeze and not fresh water tank. Turn on your pump and open each faucet one at a time until antifreeze comes out.
Don't forget to drain and bypass your water heater before you do this.....otherwise waste alot of antifreeze filling your hot water heater, pluse hard to get it all out.
Hope this helps, should be able to look at the valve setup and understand how to do it. If not, post up your questions and someone on here will help.
Instruction should be in your manual. If you don't have it, call jayco and get one.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you with us. The above comments will get you through the process of winterizing your trailer. Once you get going it should take all of 20 to 30 minutes.

Yup...it's a quick thing to do. But, if you don't have a filler hose, or just aren't comfortable doing it yourself, don't be afraid to spend a few bucks this season and have a dealer show you the ropes. Cheaper to do that than it is to replace a bunch of busted lines!

I saw a hand held pump that you hook up to the city water inlet. As you pump it manually you have someone else inside the TT shut off each faucet when enough anti freeze comes out. I never used this method since I used the water pump method where you draw anti freeze from a container and pump it through the system.
